About

A local firm, built on a trades background.

Bane Bookkeeping LLC was co-founded by Brian and Rachel Conley, right here in Delaware County, Ohio.

Why "Bane"?

Every business owner has a bane — the part of running things they dread most. For a lot of small business and trades owners, that's the books: reconciling accounts, chasing receipts, figuring out if a job actually made money. Bane Bookkeeping exists to take that off your plate.

We're a newer firm, and we like it that way — it means every client gets real attention, not a rotating cast of junior staff. When you call, you're talking to the person actually doing your books.

Who We Are

Meet the Founders

Brian Conley

Before co-founding Bane Bookkeeping, Brian spent over two decades in the service and trades industries — starting as a technician in the field, then moving into operations management, where he spent years running crews, scheduling jobs, and managing the day-to-day of a trades business. That means he's not learning trades businesses from a textbook — he's lived the seasonal cash flow swings, the equipment costs, and the job-by-job math that make or break a contractor's year.

That background is why Bane Bookkeeping works especially well for trades businesses — HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and beyond — but we work with small businesses of all kinds across central Ohio.

Rachel Conley

Rachel co-founded Bane Bookkeeping alongside Brian, bringing a degree in Accounting and a degree in Business Management from Pensacola Christian College. That combination of formal accounting training and business operations knowledge grounds the firm's approach to clean, accurate books and clear financial reporting.

Together, Brian and Rachel bring both real-world trades experience and formal accounting education to every client relationship.
